To me there is nothing more satisfying than upcycling something destined for the trash. With a little washi tape, I managed to transform three glass jars into cute decorative containers. Who would have thought recyclables could look so chic. If you’re looking for an eco-friendly/green craft, then make sure to add this DIY project to your list.
Supplies:
Recycled jars
Washi tape
Scissors
Pen
This craft project is super easy. Simply select a recycled glass jar and cover the sides with your favorite decorative tape. Add a bit more personality and visual interest by cutting a circle out of colorful cardboard to place in the bottom of the jar. Tip: to cut the circle, trace the mouth of the jar and then slowly reduce the size of the circle until it fits snuggly in the bottom.
My selection of washi tape is from Target. If you haven’t already – make sure to grab a role of the gold glitter tape in the dollar section. It is awesome!
Although I have chosen to store jewelry in my jars, these decorative containers can store a myriad of objects, such as office supplies, hair accessories, make-up, nail polish, you name it.
What are some of your favorite upcycled crafts?
xoxo,
Andi
